ADMIRAL (Horizon Europe)

  • Project name: ADMIRAL – Advanced Multimodal Marketplace for Low Emission and Energy Transportation
  • Project funding source: Horizon Europe
  • Project duration: May 2023 – April 2026
  • Project coordinator: VTT (Finland)
  • Project objective: to develop and test, under real-world conditions, AI-based digital solutions for logistics and supply-chain management, and to integrate them into a shared ADMIRAL Marketplace platform, in order to reduce CO₂ emissions from the transport and logistics sector, increase the transparency, efficiency and resilience of supply chains, and strengthen cooperation among players in the transport and logistics sector.
  • Additional information about the project: The project involves 20 partners from 9 EU countries. The ADMIRAL platform is being developed and validated across four international pilots: Portugal–Spain, Slovenia–Croatia, Lithuania and Finland. The Lithuanian pilot is aimed at developing and testing practical digital solutions for the automated calculation of CO₂ emissions and the optimisation of road-transport operations, with the goal of reducing CO₂ emissions from transport operations by at least 20%.
  • TIA’s role in the project: coordinating the Lithuanian pilot; organising training and practical workshops (including an international hackathon); disseminating project results (including sessions at the Transport Innovation Forum (TIF)); and engaging stakeholders.
  • TIA partners in Lithuania: Klaipėda Free Economic Zone (Klaipėda FEZ), MC Baltic, and TIA members CargoGo, CargoSign and Trevio.
