International projects

TIA is actively involved in EU-funded projects that are shaping the digital future of the transport and logistics sector. Through our participation in international projects, we aim to ensure the smooth implementation of the eFTI Regulation and to promote innovation in urban mobility and climate neutrality initiatives.

EUSBSR – EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region

TIA, together with its partners, coordinates the ‘Transport’ policy area of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region, which promotes sustainable, efficient and climate-neutral transport across the region. The association initiates international projects, strengthens cooperation between stakeholders and contributes to the shaping of regional transport policy.

BSR Urban Mobility

A project bringing together cities, regions and policy-makers in the Baltic Sea region with the aim of accelerating the implementation of sustainable mobility plans and the transition to zero-emission transport. TIA organises dialogue sessions and contributes to strengthening a common regional mobility policy.

EU4 Digital

A project designed to help the countries of the Western Balkans prepare for the implementation of the eFTI system and the EU transport acquis, by strengthening digital infrastructure, interoperability and the digital transformation of business. TIA organises training courses, expert sessions and consultations for the region’s transport community.

Strengthening Sustainable and Digital Trade Routes

A project aimed at promoting the digitalisation and decarbonisation of transport and logistics, and the development of more efficient trade routes in the Eastern Partnership countries. TIA organises training sessions and expert consultations, and shares Lithuania’s experience in implementing digital transport solutions.

ADMIRAL (Horizon Europe)

The ADMIRAL project aims to develop and test, under real-world conditions, artificial intelligence-based logistics and supply chain management solutions that reduce CO₂ emissions and increase the transparency and resilience of supply chains. TIA is coordinating the Lithuanian pilot, in which practical digital tools for optimising transport operations are being developed and tested in collaboration with partners.

eFTI4LIVE (CEF – Connecting Europe Facility)

A project aimed at preparing for the full-scale launch (Go-Live) of the eFTI system, encompassing the certification of eFTI platforms, the development of a governance model for the eFTI ecosystem, and the assurance of interoperability standards. TIA is responsible for publicising the project, disseminating information, capacity building, and the preparation and dissemination of practical recommendations.

eFTI4ALL (CEF – Connecting Europe Facility)

The expansion of the eFTI4EU project, aimed at testing the entire eFTI data exchange chain by involving more EU Member States and private platforms, which will ensure the practical use of electronic transport documents. TIA is carrying out activities to raise awareness of the eFTI Regulation and is involving transport and logistics companies in the practical testing of solutions.

eFTI4EU (CEF – Connecting Europe Facility)

The eFTI4EU project aims to prepare for the implementation of the eFTI Regulation at national level and to establish a cross-border eFTI gateway system that will ensure the electronic exchange of freight transport information across Europe. TIA is contributing to raising awareness of the requirements of the eFTI Regulation and to the testing of the eFTI gateway.
