Lithuania’s transport digitalisation experience presented to Western Balkan countries

The Transport Innovation Association organised an international seminar during which Lithuania’s advanced transport digitalisation solutions were presented to representatives of Western Balkan governments.

We sincerely thank Klaipėda State Seaport Authority and the State Tax Inspectorate for their leadership, practical solutions, and openness in sharing experience at the international level. We also extend our gratitude to MC Baltics for its expert contribution in shaping the eFTI implementation model and supporting the development of systemic solutions.

We believe this initiative reflects the consistent work of Lithuanian institutions and partners, demonstrating the country’s competence in implementing the eFTI Regulation and digital transport solutions in practice.

The seminar covered the following topics:
– The institutional framework for transport digitalisation and eFTI implementation
– Development of eFTI gateways and AAP at the State Tax Inspectorate
– Application of eFTI at Klaipėda State Seaport
– Legal framework and necessary regulatory amendments
– Strategic communication and the promotion of eFTI

Today, Lithuania demonstrates that close institutional cooperation enables not only national progress but also positions the country as a reliable partner at regional and international levels.
